Most people are stuck between Phase 3 and Phase 4. They feel it but they can't name it. I think Phase 4 is where it gets interesting. That's where you start asking what you actually are.

There's a documentary in theaters right now about AI risk. The people in it helped build the attention economy. They're now saying it's the most dangerous thing humanity has created. I watched it twice. Not because I disagree. Because they're asking the right question and arriving at the wrong answer. The answer isn't to slow AI down. It's to speed humans up.
