Trump dropped an absolute bombshell yesterday. The media focused on him saying "I love the inflation." But did you hear the Venezuela raid-sized news he announced AFTER THAT? The U.S. military has been secretly taking millions of barrels of oil OUT of the Strait of Hormuz in a massive operation. Not even Iran knew this. Everyone thought the tankers were just sitting there. THEY WEREN'T. That's why oil prices didn't reach deadly levels. That's why gas prices are dropping. This is one of the most impressive military operations I’ve ever heard about. So why announce it to the world now? Why not let it keep going in secret? Here's my guess: It was a massive poker move against Iran, showing them that they have NO LEVERAGE, it let China know that America still controls the seas, and it let the American people know that Trump has a plan and it's WORKING. That sure sounds like America First to me.

There’s a fascinating backstory to the IARC claim that might interest you. That said - glyphosate has been reviewed by different regulatory scientists every 3-5 years since 1987. After IARC, multiple regulatory agencies re-reviewed all of the scientific literature, including what IARC covered. They all came to the same conclusion, that it isn’t a carcinogen. I might add that this was at taxpayer expense. The EU just wrote up an 11,000 page review before reapproving it. The reason why it is so important to be correct about this is that glyphosate is literally the most important crop protection product in the world. It is the cornerstone of food security. It is off-patent, inexpensive, and virtually non-toxic to animals. It is critical for controlling invasive weeds that lead to wildfire & toxic weed contamination of crops. According to this, glyphosate is doing a pretty damn poor job of making us sick and killing us. Not surprising. The molecule binds to an enzyme that ONLY PLANTS have. Humans don’t have this enzyme.

I was flying Southwest from Dallas to New York. Three rows ahead of me, there was a young soldier in uniform. He looked barely 18. He was staring straight ahead, gripping the armrests. He looked nervous. When the drink cart came around, the flight attendant asked him what he wanted. 'Coke, please,' he said. 'Heading home?' she asked kindly. 'No, ma'am,' he said. 'Deploying. First time.' The whole row went quiet. The flight attendant didn't say a word. she handed him his Coke. Then, she got on the PA system. 'Ladies and gentlemen, we have a very special guest in Row 8 today. Private Miller is on his first deployment to serve our country. Since I can't buy him a drink, I’m going to ask a favor. If you want to write him a note of encouragement, pass it forward.' I grabbed a napkin. I wrote: 'You got this. Stay safe. - A dad from Row 12.' I watched as napkins traveled up the aisle. Napkins, receipts, pages torn from books. By the time we landed, the soldier had a pile of paper on his tray table three inches high. He stood up to get his bag, and he was wiping his eyes. He carefully packed every single scrap of paper into his rucksack. 'Thank you,' he told the flight attendant. 'No,' she said. 'Thank you.'
