When everything is racism, nothing is racism. When everything is white supremacy, nothing is white supremacy. When everything is misogyny, nothing is misogyny. Watering down categories is actively harming individuals who suffer from real, tangible oppression/bigotry.

If you fight overrepresentation of men, whites etc. in movies, at conferences and so on, but not the overrepresentation of native English-speakers, academics, middle-to-upperclass people etc., you’re probably just an opportunist focusing on your own career
