@IBD_ECarson Your paper about investing is okay but the constant posting against the powers that are and Elon are tiring.. Can you leave the tired sycophant bullshit out of it? More insight on a wide range of corporate business and general economic data please.

Would really appreciate one example with a receipt of UPS asking for additional funds to deliver a package. I have had many delivered from overseas and have never experienced this. You are a great barometer of what the next egg calamity will be…. Who is paying a tariff fee to have a package delivered in real life other than someone looking for attention or make a soft political point?

My favorite indicator was when all these custom pet foods stores opened up around that time. 50 dollars for “natural” dog food. I don’t think one of the made it past 2010. A luxury for middle class folks, any expense that’s doesn’t cause too much pain to cut back on when you are pinched is a great thing to watch.

I am the biggest Texas homer (y’all know that) but one of the biggest flaws about Texas is her lack of public land. 99% of her beauty is privately held. Take it from me – Public land is a gift and you don’t realize how important it is until you don’t have it. Cherish it.

@wanyeburkett Be careful out there, got the alpha-gal a few years ago from a tick in East Texas. I hear it originated up there in the northeast.

Theology was the missing rung in the ladder in the intellectual pursuit of God. While amusing it amazes me how ripe that field was for harvest for people with ears to hear. The world is still full of experts even more hardened than those 2000 years ago. "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. For it is written, He is the One who catches the wise in their craftiness and again, The Lord knows the reasonings of the wise, THAT THEY ARE USELESS." These components of life don't seem to change.

“When you have 400 pounds of beans in the house, you need have no fear of starvation. Other things, delicacies such as sugar, tomatoes, peppers, coffee, fish or meat, may come sometimes miraculously, through the intercession of the Virgin, sometimes through industry…..but your beans are there, and you are safe. Beans are a roof over your stomach.” -Steinbeck

@Rainmaker1973 Must have been right after launch, I caught some in far west Texas in 2020 not knowing what they were. They were a bit farther apart but the train effect was unsettling not expecting to see it.

Greed will be a part of anything that has to do with money for eternity. The coins represent that and have a place to remind anyone that can see it’s still pervasive. Productivity has been the best measure for long term success of an investment in modern times. Peter Lynch was a great example of it, asking his kids what was cool, what kind of panty hose his wife used. Who was best at making what people wanted? Some crypto currency is a new frontier, a truthful ledger that can’t be manipulated (unlike history that can be written by a hand with an agenda). Whether it changes how we see value as a store of exchange to buy what we want is still being sorted out. Even if it all goes away it is an experiment worthwhile. No one deserves to lose their hard earned cash. My job is to make sure they don’t and I take it serious. But if there is a small chance it changes things for the ones that need it most it’s worth experimenting to see what is possible.

Christ is Born. The Savior of the World. (Also, a reminder to our enemies: America was willing to cross a frozen river in the middle of the night on Christmas of 1776 to defeat you. And we still are.)

Start by stopping the highway authorities from doing stupid shit like this. Drive was smooth every day until about a month ago. This was three lanes flowing left. You can see they put plastic markers and painted the road to choke it down to 2. They didn’t end the lane, just a choke point, now a 10 mile line to get to this intersection for 0 reason…. Someone please explain why this can arbitrarily be done?
