@DavidMaver 100%. This plus some systematic traffic calming and traffic diversion on neighborhood streets would transform the tiny one ways from shortcut speedways into neighborhood bicycle boulevards.

Corruption is always about our consenting — it’s not about what is legal, it’s about what is tolerated. In Washington. In Philadelphia. Everywhere. 👇🏽

In 2019, Trump was forced to cancel plans to hold the G7 at his own golf club amid GOP objections to self dealing. In 2026, he will hold the G20 at his own golf club and the critics have gone silent. How Trump has moved the ethical line in his second term. nytimes.com/2026/10/04/us/…

BREAKING: WE JUST WON!! All border wall/road construction across the entire Big Bend region is halted. What a massive, historic victory for everyone across Big Bend—the toughest, most beautiful souls I know. I’m a speechless puddle of tears. More to come soon.

This is absolutely insane! The US government is desperately trying to protect a drug-trafficking network of corrupt right-wing political operatives, election meddlers, and assassins in Latin America. Bolivia's attorney general was investigating the US asset Fernando Cerimedo, a criminal who hired hitmen to kill his pregnant ex-girlfriend. Cerimedo oversaw a large scheme of US-sponsored election meddling in Latin America, putting in power right-wing, pro-US politicians by rigging elections, operating countless bots, and spreading mountains of disinformation online. Cerimedo worked for pretty much all of the right-wing, pro-US leaders in Latin America, and he collaborated very closely with the Trump administration. He was given an award in Mar-a-Lago a few weeks before he was arrested, and was photographed with Donald Trump Jr. This scandal was all exposed when Cerimedo failed to assassinate his pregnant ex-girlfriend, and was subsequently arrested. She has since revealed a lot of his dirty laundry, with thorough evidence. Bolivia's attorney general has also been investigating Cerimedo for drug trafficking and money laundering. So the Trump administration got desperate to silence the Bolivian attorney general. First the US government hit him with sanctions, and now it ordered the corrupt right-wing Bolivian government to arrest him, to stop the investigation into the criminal Cerimedo. Now, in Kafkaesque fashion, the US government claims he was arrested because of supposed drug trafficking and corruption. But he was the one investigating the drug trafficking and corruption of a powerful US asset! The US government is the main protector of drug cartels in Latin America.

The Trump Administration stands firmly with President @Rodrigo_PazP and Bolivia's democratically elected government as it takes bold and decisive actions to combat narco-trafficking, systemic corruption, and transnational organized crime in Bolivia. Last week, at the historic

@bikemamadelphia No details but Lombard is one of the worst around there

@PanasonicDX4500 It did only take him like 4 pitches to get everyone out, doesn’t seem that risky

@rw_briggs @mindyisser All the inns along the wissahickon used to serve catfish and waffles, that should make a comeback too!

@alanthefisher @JohnnyWalsh__ I think the Navy Yard extension could be built with supporting sports express capacity in mind. That probably would be enough for now. More fully utilizing the express tracks with the Boulevard subway and an Ogontz Ave extension (maybe to the spur) feels like more of a priority

@DPearsonPHL @BlvdSubway Makes a lot of sense in tandem with the roadwork. Streets department will be heavily involved in Trolley Modernization, getting them to work on streetscapes could help lighten the load to help work on extensions. The city used to manage construction for transit extensions!

@DPearsonPHL I also think w/ Septa’s limited staff capacity is being put towards carrying out Accelerate, relying on partners where possible to help implement capital projects could be a good strategy. PennDOT has managed large construction projects, them being primary on @BlvdSubway (1/2)

@harrisonfinberg What’s the location? Philly’s outdoor dining/beer garden scene needs a serious shot in the arm

@bikemamadelphia Musette, Brown Street. Both are close to the park /playground across Pennsylvania Ave which can be nice when the weather is good! Baby’s on Girard (not technically Fairmount anymore) is solid also

“You’ve seen me deliver.” That’s what Collins told Kao, he said, as her staff pressured him to up his donations. Kao wound up giving the Collins super PAC $150,000 in late 2019. Weeks later, according to an email, Collins’ office agreed to support $32m in new Navatek projects.

@jongeeting I mean the whole transit plan seems to have been a report without too many results? Very visionary document but the mayor and council haven’t put funding towards advancing much besides a couple of bus lanes. Doing the entire bus priority network listed in the plan would be huge!

In Philly’s Pennypack Park, there’s a critical pedestrian bridge that ties the entire park trail system together. It’s been closed for repairs for over 2 years, with no progress. The city has basically forgotten about it. Locals have responded by pulling some 2x4s off the closed bridge and using them to build a makeshift ford.

Removing public infrastructure without replacement is unacceptable. @ChicagosMayor, where are the stairs at Wabash and Hubbard? @AldReilly?

When you read the penndot report, it is pretty clear that they sandbagged the subway option. The BSL hits 50 MPH between Tasker and Ellsworth. There's no way it would move more slowly between the NE stops.

Roosevelt Blvd Subway @BlvdSubway

13 minutes! That's how much faster the Roosevelt Boulevard Subway runs when you time it with real trains instead of a speed assumption from 2003. Neshaminy Mall to City Hall: 35 min, not 49.

@DPearsonPHL Idk the broad street project did not improve the pedestrian, transit user or bicycle experience. It does look nicer than a crumbling concrete median but this project takes away car lanes for a higher quality walking space. Feels like apples and oranges on project goals.

finally got a decent photo of 'Mustard Seed,' my tapestry about the coal creek mine wars of east tennessee!!!
