As many of you who followed my campaign know, Renee and I attend the First Baptist Church in Charleston. Last Sunday at church, I learned something about Richard Furman, who was pastor at First Baptist after the war ended in 1786. It is especially relevant to this 4th of July as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our founding and deal with a big election year.
During the American War of Independence (1775–83), Richard Furman volunteered to serve in the Colonial Army but was persuaded his talents could be better used as a speaker in gaining support for the cause. He must have done a great job with his speaking, as there was a bounty issued for his capture after Charleston fell to the British forces in 1780! Mr. Furman was forced to flee the state, only to return after the war ended in 1786 to become pastor of First Baptist, where he remained until his death.
Furman University, the South's first Baptist college, founded in 1826, was famously named after him.
As a true patriot, Furman preached a sermon on July 4, 1802. One famous quote among many that day said, "Surely, we may say: the American Revolution was effected by the special agency of God." A reminder of the connection between our founding and divine providence.
During this (very long!) sermon, Richard also provided the following challenges/warnings to a new nation looking to elect leaders with a very different political foundation than almost any nation on earth. Those guidelines are just as relevant today as then:
* Seek the good of the whole.
* Adhere to the Constitution.
* Guard against prejudices and partiality.
* Endeavor to fully understand matters before speaking out.
* Don't be satisfied with just the right form of government; elect only those who will guard against "pernicious evil."
* Elect only the virtuous, both publicly and privately.
* Beware of politicians with ambition and bad principles.
Wow! is all I can say as we look around today and marvel at his incredible foresight.
Happy Birthday to this great nation, and may we never forget our founding principles that made us the greatest nation on earth.

We want the Reddy Room to be a forum to discuss ideas that can eventually be converted to action. So, let's start with something simple. On the campaign trail, I heard a lot about chemtrails and serious concerns, especially in some parts of our state.
Chemtrails are a form of geoengineering and intentional weather modification. Many of you talked about the massive streaking you see in our skies. Some of you attributed it to commercial jets. However, my research and the pictures I saw did not correlate with commercial jets.
So, what do you all think about a simple piece of legislation that follows what Ron DeSantis just did in Florida? A summary of that legislation is below. Please comment on it as you see fit, and while it is perfectly OK to have all kinds of different opinions, please be respectful.
Legislation would:
1. Make it illegal to intentionally inject, release, or disperse chemicals or other substances into the atmosphere for the purpose of altering weather, climate, sunlight intensity, or temperature. Does not apply to ordinary aircraft exhaust, agricultural spraying, or firefighting.
2. General violations are third-degree felonies and can include up to 5 years in prison and fines up to $100,000.
3. Citizens can report violations through an online reporting portal, and the environmental agency must investigate reports that warrant review within a defined timeframe.
4. Airports must submit monthly reports identifying aircraft equipped for geoengineering or weather modification activities. They must maintain records for state inspection.
Comments are welcome. This fall, we will start a Reddy Room podcast and will invite experts to speak on this topic, including those in Florida who researched it.

Congratulations to all the winners yesterday in the Republican runoffs. Alan did a great job with his campaign against a tough field. Congratulations also to David Stumbo, Cody Simpson and Jenny Honeycutt. It would have been nice not to have Federal involvement in state elections, but it is what it is.
To all those who competed and did not prevail at the end, there is no shame whatsoever. It is worth remembering what Teddy Roosevelt said in his “ man in the arena” speech. A 2 minute excerpt is included in the link below and still gives me chills.

@unique2routine It would help if u could stop making ignorant comments. Aside from the fact that I have both Indian and Italian heritage , are u going to tell this to every one who ever immigrated here legally?? Consider going back to church.
As we get to next Tuesday’s runoff, I am told that the Reddy supporters are disillusioned with the choices they have.
I have come under some pressure to endorse one candidate or the other as every one of the other gubernatorial candidates have done.
However, during the campaign I was very clear. One politician endorsing another politician and asking citizens to follow the endorsement is an assault on self-governance. As a constitutionalist, I oppose this on principle and I told you that I will never compromise principles no matter the pressure. I love this country and its amazing foundational principles too much.
So, while I will encourage you to vote, I will not tell you how to vote. The two governor candidates have about 25 years in government. I would encourage you to study their record in office and vote your conscience.
The endorsement game is a dangerous one. One politician telling you how to vote for another slowly erodes citizens having to do their homework and making up their own minds. Thomas Jefferson said “You cannot be ignorant and free". It is as true now as it was then.
Federal endorsement of state candidates is an assault on the 10th amendment of state sovereignty and should be discouraged. Having leaders at the state who are subservient to the Federal government is exactly the opposite of our foundational principles. Let’s speak up against this regardless of which party or individual is involved.
For all my wonderful, dedicated supporters, it was the honor of our lives for Renee and me to meet you, learn about you, and get your support.
It was an incredible achievement that on the morning of the Trump endorsement, we were tied for the lead. However, as you know, it is difficult to run against a Trump endorsement when almost one quarter of the electorate was undecided.
Renee and I wanted to give the voters a choice for a different path devoid of special interests and money. We wanted to do it with ideas and appeal to the good in people, and that’s what we tried to do with a campaign that did not get in the gutter. Hopefully, it will inspire others to do the same, and that would be a win for me.
The establishment system is powerful, and the people chose otherwise. In a constitutional republic, I accept that choice. I have never been in politics before this and do not intend to be in the public forum after this.
My only request is that we hold the politicians to a higher standard than the gutter politics of appealing to the underbelly of humanity. As believers, we believe we are all children of God, made in His image, and God wants us to be brothers and sisters and find the common good, not divide and hate to gain power and money.
Look for this characteristic more than anything else when you vote in the future to keep the dream of our founders alive: one united nation under God.
I do not know what our next steps are, but Renee and I will continue to find a way to help people, especially children, through our charitable foundation. If there is one thing I learned, it is that people and children are suffering with this corrupt family court system, and we are going to explore how we can help people caught in this system in our capacity as private citizens.
I have never had social media accounts before DOGESC, and in the next few weeks I will go back to not having social media accounts. However, once we set up something for family court, we will post a contact email on Renee’s Facebook in the next couple of months to try to work with you on helping with family court. Stay tuned.
Finally, thank you so much for being on this journey with us. I sincerely believe God has a plan for us, and I look forward to what His plan is for my family, as long as it is not in politics!!
Lots of love,
Renee and Rom Reddy and family
I have been contacted by several folks asking for some guidance with the pick for AG since neither candidate in the runoff is well known.
As you all know as someone who ran for office myself,I do not endorse or seek endorsements. As a private citizen, I can only tell you my thinking on this race.
The AG role can have a major impact in 3 areas- aggressive prosecution , focusing on corruption and focusing on constitutional violations by government itself through the agency state.
I liked Pascoe for his tough stand on prosecution. However, he did not make the runoff.
Of the AG candidates that made the runoff Goldfinch and Stumbo, I do not know and have not met Stumbo. I have had interaction with Goldfinch and while I do not know his approach to prosecution or focus on corruption, I know he shares my view that the agency state needs to be reigned in especially when they blatantly assume police powers or violate the constitution. This is an area I feel strongly about.
Additionally Senator Goldfinch was a big supporter of our judicial reform bill and he agreed to lead the floor fight but unfortunately it got stuck in judiciary committee. So, while I do not make endorsements I do plan to vote for Stephen Goldfinch in the AG runoff.

"We will appeal to the good in people. We will get results."
"We are supposed to be servants of the people who elect us and we've gotten away from that, on the 250th anniversary we're going to go back to it."
In your weird world , being a corrupt journalist you look at scams differently. In my world , it is impossible to scam myself. I fully funded DOGESC. You have no right to tell me what I do with my money. If you liked the mission so much , use your money and go for it. For me, it made no sense to spend a million dollars a year of my money ( some of which I paid you) to try and fix a broken system from the outside.
There are two tiers of candidates in this race. Mace and Norman have no mathematical path to victory.
If you want an outsider to fix this state, vote Reddy.
South Carolina cannot afford an Evette vs. Wilson insider vs. insider runoff.
It's time for something different.
It has been a long, grueling campaign but we are now coming to an end with the primaries. As you know, the primaries are dominated by the donors and special interests. If we are to break the cabal, not only do you have to vote but you have to take a few friends and family and overwhelm the system. That’s how revolutions start and what we need to do to take our state back. Win or lose thanks for your support. Please get out and vote early. This is the 250th anniversary of our founding and your vote will forever be recorded for posterity! God bless.
When I decided to enter the gubernatorial race in March, a big consideration was financing the campaign. After much research and discussion, my wife Renee and I decided that the only way we can achieve what we wanted to accomplish was to fund the campaign ourselves with no donations from any individual or entity. This was, of course, a major decision for our family and to my knowledge had never been done before in a statewide gubernatorial race. Why did we make this decision?
Approximately 15 years ago, the US Supreme court ruled that Super PACs could make unlimited donations to campaigns as long as they did not coordinate with the campaigns. They left the disclosure rules to the states. SC decided to have little or no disclosure. Further - unlike a lot of states who defined coordinate with campaigns like not sharing vendors, allowing staff to skip back and forth etc., SC did not define "coordinate" so there is no way to enforce "no coordination". As such we have the wild west of super PAC's and 501 C4's being able to fund political campaigns with secret money and they do not have to disclose who their source donors are.
How has this manifested itself in South Carolina? Let's say a data center operator wants to get traction in SC. They donate to a super PAC (so you do not know who donated). The super PAC goes to a candidate for Governor, legislator or even county council or Mayor and says "We will donate $100k or $1 million to helping your election efforts. If you win, you will support and vote for this data center".
Now, you the citizen don't want that data center. You go to your representatives and lobby. But at most you have donated $ 1000 (often the donation limit for individuals). Who do you think they listen to?
This money virus started out in federal elections, went to statewide elections and now is all over the state and has brought this state to its knees. That's why no citizen agenda makes any headway. Donor and special interest agendas do. In a red state, look what we have over the last decade- big time office leases with the biggest donor to the Republican party, Ports authority and Santee Cooper boards filled with donors. Data centers, batter plants, solar panel plants, electric jeeps, etc. Sound like a red state agenda. Nope. It is a donor agenda. No one will fix it because everyone has their hand in the cookie jar.
While it is a major financial sacrifice for us, I decided that if we cannot change these disclosure laws, coordination laws and fix the corrupt money in the system, no change is possible. For the first time in our generation, I am running a statewide campaign with no one controlling my agenda.
I think it is imperative that you, the voter, understand this and realize that if we do not fix this, nothing is sustainable and we will never get out of this ditch. Today, 31 percent plus of our legislators are trial lawyers while less than 1 percent of the working population are trial lawyers. You wonder why no tort reform gets done, and insurance of all kinds is out of control? Look at the dark money from the trial lawyer lobby that keeps their people in place and you will have your answer. But wait, you can't find the source of the money even if you tried to.
Thomas Jefferson said "We cannot be ignorant and free." The more you know, the more determined you will be to make change and take our government back. I will get it done. The career politicians with their dark money will not. You cannot change a system you are part of.
As you all go to the polls Tuesday, I want to frame the current state of the Governor’s race.
The field has separated into 2 tiers. There are 3 candidates in Tier 1 - Wilson, Evette and myself. 2 out of these 3 will be in the runoff.
For those of you tired of Columbia politics, I am the only one that can prevent one insider (Wilson) running against another insider (Evette). You have to decide if this state can afford 8 more years of this.
Even though I am the only outsider businessman who has never been in politics and takes zero campaign donations, the “outsider” vote is being split between me, career politician Norman and Nancy Mace. For those of you on the fence who maybe are considering Norman or Mace, please recognize they do not have a path to the runoff and by voting for them and splitting the outsider vote, you will inadvertently be setting up an insider vs insider battle between Wilson and Evette.
Let’s see why that would be a disaster. In the last 10 years of Evette/McMaster, the S.C. population went up roughly 10 percent while state spending soared over 100 percent and we became the highest income tax state of any Republican run state. Meanwhile nothing changed on key metrics such as education, roads, median family income or violent crime. Do we want to reward failure by promoting it with Evette?
If S.C. were a private entity in big trouble, would you pick the company attorney to become CEO and fix it? That’s what you would be doing with Alan who has been the state lawyer for 15 years and has never had any governing experience. An insider attorney is not a turnaround CEO.
In my case, not only have I been a CEO of multiple operating companies, I have hired and developed CEO’s and leaders of companies we bought.
I have a very detailed 12 page newsletter (available under the policy tab of our website Reddyforgoveror.com) that tells you what I will do and how to transfer money and power back to the citizen including eliminating the income tax the right way by rebooting spending, eliminating the property tax on cars/ trucks and phasing out residential property tax for seniors. We will also restrict uncontrolled growth and ban data centers.
So, in summary- regardless of how you feel about the merits of a Mace or Norman or Alan, please be mindful of not setting this race up to be another insider vs insider contest. I am the only remaining option to break this cabal. I humbly ask for your consideration and your vote Tuesday.

To my many supporters including some of my employees back to my first South Carolina plant from 1990, thank you for your texts, emails and calls in recent days expressing support for me and my family against the vile, personal attacks from Mace and Norman as we zoomed past them in the polls making their candidacy all but dead.
Ms. Mace apparently now publicly claims that despite me being an American citizen longer than she has been alive, I am a “foreigner” because presumably I do not look like her. That would also make other naturalized citizens such as Alexander Hamilton, twenty percent of WW2 veterans who bled for our freedom and more recently Melania Trump and Elon Musk foreigners not qualified to do her job which can beat best be described as nothing. According to Mace, Steve Hilton, Republican gubernatorial candidate leading the California race who is a naturalized citizen endorsed by President Trump is not qualified.
In 3 terms in Congress, her only primary sponsor bill is renaming a post office in Hilton Head. I remind our supporters that this is the same person who last year called our cops, who put their lives on the line for strangers, “ f—ing idiots and f—ing incompetent” which is far worse than anything vile she slings at me and my sweet wife and 15 year old. Time to send her back to Waffle House although my good friend Joe Rogers, owner of Waffle House, may not take her back.
Then you have her pal Norman slinging similar dirt couched in code like “not from here” and making so many false accusations that we had to send him a cease and desist.
I recognize that many of you are offended by this filth in our so called leaders. Any wonder that they got us in this mess? I will only say what my pastor said, "feel God’s grace so you can show grace toward others." I will not play this game of appealing to the worst in humanity. I will, however, continue to focus on exposing their public record. My 15 year old is not quite as resilient but this has been a learning experience.
I will end by sharing what a friend sent me and I shared with my family;
“The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil”. Thats our fight.
