Kīlauea Alerts release 42 is now available publicly on Google Play: play.google.com/store/apps/det… This is a big public milestone for the app. Kīlauea Alerts is built for Hawaiʻi Island residents, visitors, volcano watchers, and anyone who wants a focused way to follow Kīlauea-related conditions from one place. The app brings together Kīlauea volcano notices, Hawaiʻi Island earthquakes, National Weather Service alerts, live-feed links, weather context, air quality, photos, and AI-assisted hazard summaries in one mobile dashboard. What Kīlauea Alerts does Kīlauea Alerts helps you keep an eye on the official signals that matter around Kīlauea and Hawaiʻi Island: • USGS and HVO Kīlauea volcano notices • Hawaiʻi-region earthquake activity • National Weather Service Hawaiʻi alerts • Weather and forecast context • Air quality information • Live feed links for volcano watching • Kīlauea photo gallery and submissions • AI-assisted summaries that compare current hazard context against previous reports The goal is not to replace official agencies. The goal is to make it easier to follow them, understand what changed, and know which official source to check next. Those items are addressed in the current release candidate. Production listing is now in Google's queue — we'll post again when it's approved or if Google asks for changes. Membership & features Free / Pro / Lifetime is visible in Settings, with clearer upgrade messaging. Free: 3-day forecast, hazard tabs (browse), core weather for saved locations. Pro / Lifetime: live hazard feeds, 5-day forecast, Air Quality tab, unlimited refreshes, NOAA push alerts on Android. Air Quality (new) Dedicated Air tab: current AQI, pollutants, 12-hour and 5-day outlook for your active saved location. Pro / Lifetime only — enforced in the app and on the API. Uses a model-based air-quality source (no third-party branding in the UI). 📷 For closed testers — thank you Your reports on layout, crashes, "Not Found" on Air Quality, and unclear Pro benefits directly shaped this build. If you're on the closed test track, keep the app installed until we confirm production approval — we may push one more build if Google requests changes. --- 📷 What happens next Google review (typical: a few days; can vary).
