Undocumented immigrants are now barred from enrolling in Florida's state colleges and adult education programs, including GED classes, after the Florida Board of Education approved new rules requiring students to be U.S. citizens or lawfully present in the country. This should have never been allowed in the first place. Taxpayer-funded education should be reserved for U.S. citizens and those who are legally in the country. Florida is simply closing a loophole that should never have existed in the first place.
