The website interface is too much like talking to a ai. Its crazy to me that all interactions regardless of the goal with AI happen in the same UI. We need it to have a user friendly UI when it comes to websearching. I hope someone will have an epiphany when it comes to this and change the way we interact with AI focused more on user experience. (We need a Steve Jobs like vision on AI interface/interaction )

I’d like to discuss “selling out” as a cannabis creator, influencer, cannoisseur, or whatever they’d like to refer to themself as, before I start, this is not directed at any one group or individual, it’s simply my observation of things in general, feel free to correct me if I’m wrong… Why would an online cannabis creator feel the need to sellout? Because any one who shows cannabis, or even mentions certain words on YouTube will get demonetized and lose all ad revenue, they’ll get age-restricted which will drastically impact viewership. On Instagram, anyone who doesn’t like them can get their account banned over, and over again. And it’s easier to do than many people realize, which is sad. Instagram has approximately 2 billion monthly users according to Google. It cannot possibly scan every account, so if you got banned, or you know some who has, especially on multiple occasions, then I have news for you, you/they were almost certainly mass reported, and whoever did it can keep doing it again until the platform changes the ban/appeal system. This is why we all hate IG. X is virtually the only online platform that will allow cannabis into the algorithm, however sponsors are still unsure about this app, because let’s be honest, the bots and political rhetoric are rampant. Why pay someone for a sponsor when often times the analytics are artificially inflated? Should a cannabis creator be entitled to making money? In my opinion, absolutely. Many of these creators are not only very smart, but also incredible at editing, much better than myself and it’s not even close, that didn’t happen over night. They put in a lot of work, time and effort to learn how to edit, which is extremely tedious and time consuming. They invest into their channels with money from their own pockets. Camera’s, lenses, hard drives, pc’s, monthly subscriptions for editing software or music copyright licensing, the list goes on, these things add up very quickly. Many large companies, whether they sell THCa or grow equipment, understand these things very well, and will act like vultures towards smaller creators who may not know that they’re being taken advantage of. They will offer lowball contracts with ridiculous requirements for little to no reward. How would I know? Because I have been offered them, I have been asked to promote companies that do these things, and I declined. I will put the creators into 3 groups to simplify things: You have the total sellouts, they will tell you all about how great that spray pack boof that comes with a toy is, in return for some fancy clothing or jewelry, money, and/or free weed. They shamelessly sold their souls. Next you have the middle ground. The creator who will work with reputable companies that offer fair deals, they’ll do what they need to do to remain monetized while also trying to stay true to themself. They often get caught in the crossfire - “you don’t show plants so you don’t even grow” no, they’ve invested thousands of dollars and hours into what they do, they simply want a return on their investment. Finally you have the creators who are sent to the shadow realm because they don’t want to play by the rules. This is not a wise decision if your goal is to make money or gain traction, because any and all monetization will be cut off, reach is severely throttled down, which draws those vulture companies to you that I mentioned before. So when you see a YouTuber not showing plants, or calling cannabis the “c word” and it upsets you, try to understand that it most definitely pisses them off that they have to do such a stupid dance to get the revenue that they earned and deserve. If you see someone with a big Instagram following who may be hesitant to speak out on certain things, it may be because they know their account will be fried within 48 hours if they do. I don’t have a solution for how to fix this mess. I just know this entire game is rigged from the top down. 💚
