One of the greatest advantages of being a young person in Rwanda is having role models and leaders who are willing to listen, engage, and support young people’s ideas and aspirations. We were honored to meet with the Minister of State for Youth and Arts for an introductory discussion on the Ingoga Growth Program and its role in addressing youth unemployment through youth-led and community-driven approaches across Rwanda. We are excited to announce the Ingoga Growth Program, a youth-led initiative led by Resonate in partnership with @MastercardFdn, and implemented by a consortium of seven youth-led organizations: @Rworkshops, @ImagineIWR, @impanuro, @IsookoD, @IwacuinAfrica, @loveandhands, and @starlight_afri. Working across 20 districts in Rwanda, the program aims to address youth employment challenges through youth- and community-driven approaches, with a deliberate focus on expanding economic opportunities for young people. Together, we are committed to creating more dignified and fulfilling opportunities for Rwanda's young people, especially young women and other disadvantaged youth groups. #YoungAfricaWorks

As family, friends, and loved ones gather to lay Raissa to rest today, we join them in honoring a life dedicated to empowering girls and young women. Over the years, we have had the privilege of working with her organization, @impanuro, in our shared commitment to creating opportunities for women and girls to thrive. Through her leadership, passion, and dedication, Raissa created a lasting impact in the communities she served and inspired many through her work. Our heartfelt condolences remain with the entire IGI family, her loved ones, and all those mourning her loss. May her legacy live on through the countless lives she touched and the cause she so passionately championed. Rest in peace, Raïssa. Forever in our hearts!

Over the past few months, something powerful has been unfolding.🌱 From Gakenke to Nyamasheke to Nyanza to Kirehe, our alumni have been receiving hands-on technical and financial literacy training, brought directly into the communities where their businesses are taking root. Sector agronomists, veterinarians, and Business Development Officers led sessions tailored to participants' areas of work. And none of this happens alone. Fortune had no income and no vision for her future when she joined our Gerakure “Venture Beyond!” Project in partnership with @RwandaWomen, funded by Project Redwood . Today she runs a poultry business and sells fruits and vegetables at a local market where she earns up to 50,000 Rwf (~$34) a month. This is what investing in women looks like.
