After a slow start due to injury Addison really closed out the summer strong for us. Always in the right spot on offense and our team’s anchor in the middle for defense she always gave the team a steady presence. Another of our 2028 ladies who helps lead up our Green Team is Scarlet Longanbach. Scarlet doesn’t just sit back and watch the game go by. She steps up and makes impact plays. She will score, rebound, defend or distribute the ball as long as it helps move the needle. BUILDING FIGHT Each workout is a chance to build a specific development environment specific to a players needs. The best development coaches are experts at building these environments. Sometimes tho, the player builds it for you. When they aren’t performing (making shots) at a high level, don’t bring energy, lack focus … it is a chance for the coach to hold them accountable - and more importantly for the player to learn how to ‘bounce back’ and right the ship. If you think your players are always going to bring energy, be focused, play with max effort, you are kidding yourself. Having the standard, holding them accountable to the standard, and pushing them to limit bad days/games/halves/possessions is key!

One of our most improved players this season has been Aaliyah Carrillo. She started off as a straight hustle player but has transformed her game WAY beyond that role.
