I recently made some changes to my driver swing to eliminate the hooks. Last round at Belleair was a -2 round of 70. Over the last three rounds I have only missed 5 fairways between Oak Hill’s East Course and Belleair CC. #NonGolfHistory

@theeyesurgeon I think my previous best (since the resto) was a 69. When my driver behaves I am a pretty decent golfer. Last August I got a bad case of the hooks and for the last year they have plagued me with the driver. Hoping this is a long term solution.

My change was pretty simple, though it was a tad scary. My issue was snap and bubble hooks. Changes: 1) my right hand grip is really weak. 2) As I stand over the ball - I remind myself to close the face with my upper body turn. 3) At the top of the backswing I rotate my upper body as fast as I can!!! Essentially try to feel like I am going to slice it. Over the last three rounds I have never hit it straighter. Misses have been push fades. Haven’t missed one left in 36 holes.
