Repeating things sucks. Type out a daily schedule post in a central location and also give copies to your ASM's

The day I can think of something else I'd rather be doing I will change careers. That day hasn't come yet.

@SM_Problems when the staging is going to fast you can't keep up!Tip:Try audio record staging sessions. If you miss something its on record!

Make a standard checklist for yourself & edit it before you start on a new show. It will save you time,& save you from forgetting anything:)

If you can, play some music before and after rehearsals. It makes early morning easier and clean up faster and more fun after :)

A memo pad may seem like a good idea but paper get lost and things happen. Take down your notes as needed but back them up on your laptop :)

Actors, yes can and usually will get dramatic, remember that there will always be more actors but us Stage Managers are slim pickings ;)

Invest in a small instant water boiler and carry small packets of coffee and sugar. Breaks are a great time to have a hot coffee..CHEAP! :)

Led pencils may be 'convenient' but the truth is they waist more money in led and break more. Regular #2 pencil and a sharpener all the way!

@AnonymousLD Your LD is your friend! They get stressed just like you do but that's ok! Remember to work with them, not against them! :D

Don't pretend like everything is ok if its not. Keep a good and COOL head on your shoulders & acknowledge the situation. You CAN handle it!

Having an ASM is great but don't abuse them! Their helpful but are still important to the process.

Always show up early to the #theatre. You most certainly need to be the first one there! And the last one to leave! @SM_Problems

Technology is your friend! Sound, Lighting get familiar with it all!

Keep a cool head, things will get so stressful ou just want to faint. But just remember to keep calm and schedule on :) @SM_Problems

Always carry an extra 'mini kit' in your bag.
