No. T cells do not infiltrate the brain in most viral infections. The brain is not the right place to have cell mediated immunity for pathogens or have T cell stimulation. It's a bad thing.

It's still very concerning that there are reinfections occurring of 1) an immune-evasive virus that persists 2) That broadly activates T cells 3) That we don't have widely available and effective means of pharmacological treatment for I know they did the rounds on its oncogenic potential, but what about the immune harm?

Back in 2020 I gave the same warning and carried the same concern that covid was like a cancer. For this claim, many virologists and nay-sayers came out of the woodwork to disparage and slander me because of their lack of scientific imagination and professional contempt, like Jeremy Kamil and Graham Bottley. To them, I was speaking out of turn and 'out of depth.' I imagine it even took a bit of courage from this billionaire owner of the LA Times to make the claim that covid is like a cancer and has beaten us. However at this point, we have set forth on an immutable path of chronic disease and death with a tenacious and ever evolving pathogen. A stitch in time saves nine, and because of the unfortunate predilection of therapy rather than prevention that the US psyche has towards health, a potential therapeutic, if possible, will sadly not be relevant to those suffering now or those in the past.
