When you share a journey with autism you get a double whammy of invisibility & Prejudice. Most people never see autism, but if you share the journey you see it. Most people are prejudiced against autistic people & their families.

What the Artemis II astronauts did over the last 10 days was a testament to their bravery. And the fact that they traveled farther from Earth than anyone ever has, re-entered our atmosphere at more than 24,000 mph, and splashed down safely was a testament to human ingenuity. Today I was told reasonable adjustments are unfair on non disabled staff. I explained their importance but still the view of unfairness persisted. Apparently, disabled folks get free passes & better treatment. I despair- because they have seen the impact disability has!
