Just look at how sick the Salafi mindset is. These cutthroats in suits, presenting themselves to the Western establishment as “moderates,” have found a way to cap women’s education while pretending the opposite. They say they support education for everyone, for both women and men, then they separate boys and girls in school, and for the girls’ final high school exam they introduce a math test you would expect in top Chinese universities. Of course, the exam for the boys is much, much easier. If there were a free press in Syria, which there isn’t, they would ask the Ministry of Education, a long-time Al-Qaeda cleric, to try to solve even one of the math problems given to these young women, who spent five years studying like mules, clinging to the smallest sliver of hope for a chance to escape a life of poverty and misery after years of civil war. Those who can afford it will have to repeat the year, and keep trying until learned helplessness forces them back into the kitchen. That’s the plan. That’s how the system will work from now on in Syria. On the surface, they will keep parroting European Union-style language about opportunity, inclusion, and progress. But in reality, they are implementing a deeply reactionary worldview rooted in Al-Qaeda ideology, just repackaged in the hypocritical language of neoliberalism. Welcome to Al-Qaeda Inc. 2.0: wearing a suit, beard neatly trimmed, but in substance, the same old misogynist bastards.
When the Supreme Court bans the counting of late-arriving mail ballots (and they almost certainly will) by the end of this month, the ramifications will be sweeping and instantly felt, especially in states like CA, OR, WA, and NV, which have mastered mail fraud. For instance, Dems are counting on a 48-4 House split in CA with their new map. They can get it and STILL miss the House majority as the maps stand today. If they get 46-6 or 44-8, they suffer devastating losses and if the latter perhaps odds below 20% to take the majority. Other seats like NV-3 may become playable, too. It remains a terrible thing to watch but California’s open treason has created the greatest demand for ripping up election corruption by its roots since the 2022 races in Arizona - if not the 2020 election itself.
