His Excellency, distinguished Senator Henry Seriake Dickson will not dignify Henry @HonShield with a reply. For years, Henry Shield has sought the attention of Senator Dickson, dating back to his tenure as Governor of Bayelsa State. The irony is that Senator Dickson is only a few years older than Shield, yet, by the grace of God, he has served as Legal Adviser of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Bayelsa State, a two-term member of the House of Representatives, Governor of Bayelsa State for eight years, and is now a serving Senator and National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), the largest opposition political party in Nigeria. Henry Shield, by contrast, has contested an election only once. He ran in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primaries for the House of Representatives and finished a distant third, with just three votes. Senator Dickson is not on the same level as this empty-headed, lying, bitter, and pathetic fellow, and he will not dignify him with a response. Henry Shield is one of those commissioned to sow disaffection within the NDC. He has told friends close to us that one of the reasons he hates Senator Dickson, and will continue to attack him, is Dickson’s role in providing a platform for His Excellency Peter Obi and His Excellency Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to pursue their presidential ambitions. Shield wanted His Excellency Peter Obi to remain in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and accept the vice-presidential nomination of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. He has repeatedly said that if Senator Dickson had not agreed to Mr Peter Obi becoming the NDC presidential candidate, he would not have left the ADC. We appeal to every lover and supporter of His Excellency Peter Obi to see this pathetic fellow as an enemy of Mr Obi’s cause. He is unhappy that Mr Obi declined to serve as vice-presidential candidate to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and he is deploying every means to create division within the ranks of the NDC. We urge the general public, our members, and supporters to ignore the malicious rumours of disaffection being peddled by mischievous political elements like Henry who remain unhappy that Mr Peter Obi and Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso left the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to join Distinguished Senator Henry Seriake Dickson and other patriots in building the Nigeria Democratic Congress. Senator Henry Seriake Dickson remains deeply committed to the Obi/Kwankwaso project. No amount of blackmail will make him betray the trust and confidence that the Nigerian people have invested in the political party that God has helped him to establish.

There’s a reason why Atiku Abubakar has been on the ballot six times and been rejected on all six occasions. His records are there for every well meaning Nigerian to examine. Nigerians shouldn’t allow themselves to be fooled by unrealistic promises. We can’t afford a mistake like Atiku in our dear country.

Nigeria's new postcode isn't just a code — it's true location identity for every building. For decades, we have run an economy on vague directions like "behind the transformer" or "beside the big church." That vagueness has cost us billions in failed deliveries, poor urban planning, and financial exclusion. That story is now changing. This new postcode system fundamentally transforms how things work. For logistics and e-commerce, it means an end to failed deliveries, with faster last-mile operations and lower costs for both vendors and customers. For businesses, a verifiable address is real KYC — it makes every home and small shop bankable, credit-worthy, and visible to the formal economy. For security and emergency response, when every building is uniquely identified, help can find you faster and agencies can map and respond with precision. And for governance, it unlocks data-driven planning, fairer revenue collection, and service delivery based on where people actually live. None of this would have been possible without real interagency collaboration. The National Population Commission provided the comprehensive building datasets that power the entire system, working hand-in-hand with NIPOST to modernize Nigeria's postal infrastructure for the digital age. At the heart of the technical deployment is homegrown innovation. The solution is being powered locally by Milsat Africa @milsat_Africa, the geospatial company led by Taslim Salaudeen @taslimsalaudeen and @badenla. Their work is proof that world-class, national-scale infrastructure can be built by Nigerians, in Nigeria, for Nigeria. We are moving from vague descriptions to precise, verifiable and bankable addresses, and this is digital transformation that will touch every single Nigerian.

RE: MALICIOUS LIES AGAINST OUR NATIONAL LEADER, DISTINGUISHED SENATOR SERIAKE DICKSON The leadership of our great party, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC)— the largest opposition and fastest-growing political party in Nigeria today — would have ignored the beer-parlour talk and murmurs making the rounds, but history teaches that lies told over and over, if unrefuted, are taken as truth by the gullible. Hence, we deem it necessary to issue this strong and unequivocal rebuttal. Our National Leader, Distinguished Senator Seriake Dickson, is not a front for the ruling APC or anyone else. He has no secret or open deal whatsoever with the ruinous and diabolical APC regime. Anyone who knows Senator Dickson's public service record, and is in his right senses, will not associate him with any under-the-table arrangement to sabotage his own party and its Presidential Candidate and running mate, Mr. Peter Obi and Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. Senator Dickson could have taken the easy way out by joining the APC. Instead, he chose the hard, honourable path of building a party with like-minds, a party that will liberate Nigeria from the vice grip of the buccaneers currently in power. His consistent, courageous and principled position on national issues on the floor of the Senate for over seven years is a clear testament to his strength of character and unwavering solidarity with suffering Nigerians, whose misery has worsened and intensified under this administration. Consequently, it is wicked, vexatious and mendacious to associate his name with any compromise with the ruling APC and its key drivers. We are fully aware that these unfounded and baseless allegations are emanating from the ranks of our political opponents, who are envious of the growing popularity, acceptability and organic spread of the NDC across the length and breadth of Nigeria. We urge all our teeming supporters, members and well-wishers to remain steadfast, keep their eyes on the ball, and work assiduously for victory for our Presidential Candidate and his running mate, and indeed all candidates contesting on the platform of the NDC. Together, we stand. Together,we shall win. A New Nigeria is POssible. We can do it! Signed: Osa Director, Esq National Publicity Secretary, Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) 5th October, 2026. I have been following Atiku’s take on the controversial N11 trillion NNPCL @nnpclimited figure and I honestly think we need to separate politics from the actual facts. First, the N11 trillion was NOT simply a one year budget for pipeline security as the narrative is beginning to sound. That context is very important. The figure relates to receivables from the Federation and covers different obligations, advances and costs associated with protecting our critical oil and gas assets. So presenting the whole N11 trillion as if NNPCL woke up one morning, budgeted the money for pipeline security and spent everything within one year is not a fair representation of what is in the books. Should NNPCL explain the figures? Absolutely. How much specifically went into pipeline security? Who got what? What was achieved? These are questions Nigerians have every right to ask and NNPCL should continue to provide the necessary clarity. But then, we also need to talk about Atiku. Sometimes I wonder if our politicians think Nigerians forget easily. This is the same Atiku who has consistently advocated for the privatisation of NNPC. As Vice President and Chairman of the National Council on Privatisation, he has even said that he proposed the privatisation of NNPC to President Obasanjo. Fast forward to 2019, Atiku was still very vocal about selling NNPC. He even described the organisation as a “mafia organisation” and insisted he would privatise it if he became President. Now, some of his political opponents argued at the time that the plan was simply another avenue to sell such a strategic national asset to friends and cronies. Atiku denied this and said it would be sold to Nigerians. Fair enough. But this is also the same man who publicly said there was nothing wrong with his friends becoming richer provided there was no corruption. So when Atiku suddenly becomes extremely concerned about NNPCL today, people are allowed to ask questions about the politics behind the outrage. You cannot remove that history from the conversation. Nobody is saying NNPCL should be above scrutiny. Far from it. But scrutiny should be based on facts and not sensational figures thrown around for political effect. If N11 trillion is a receivable covering different obligations over a period, then say exactly that and interrogate the individual components. Do not package the entire figure to Nigerians as though N11 trillion was simply blown on pipeline security in one year. There is a big difference. NNPCL should continue to explain itself and open its books where necessary. But our politicians should also stop playing politics with every issue simply because there is an opportunity to score cheap political points. At the end of the day, Nigerians deserve the complete story, not the version that best suits anyone’s political narrative. With NNPCL GCEO @BBOjulari, transparency has been his watchword!
