@rightley I was hopeful, too, that we would at least get something fan-friendly. But it seems not. This stuff would be so easy for them to show some love to the fans, but they just can't bring themselves to do it.

This used to be such an iconic view in the park. And regardless if you like or don’t like what they did to the ride, they absolutely ruined this view. It looks awful.

@BrerOswald It was a beautiful design, and it had so much more visual interest than what they did to it now. It's really unfortunate that we've lost this view. Great photo - and I loved that view. Miss it.

@KateFisher96 I'd go so far as to say these people doing this are not really Imagineers (even if they get the hard hat that says they are). These are more "designers" doing random, weird things. They don't understand this art form. The lack of experience shows... badly.

I've said for a long time, this is an art form, and ill-thought-out changes destroy that art. Imagineering, at its best, is incredibly difficult to do right, and time and again, I see signs that they just don't know what they are doing. Unfortunate.

Quite simply, this doesn't look good. It looks like what it is, projected. One thing to be shown off as a research project, but quite another to put it in an attraction. The AA masks, when Blaine Gibson was sculpting them, and when Disney used to powder them, looked better.

Just a reminder: This is the same front-facing projection mapping technology Disney first showcased last year. The pirate is simply the first real-world application of it we're seeing in the parks.

This is a great point. Disney seemingly has money for Demolishing and Retheme, but doing something with abandoned space? Not so much. Same for the Wonders of Life pavilion in Epcot. Seems the priority is a bit off. This is easy wins for the fan base and yet they do nothing.

The Grand Floridian gingerbread house will not return this holiday season. Instead, Disney's culinary teams will create new miniature holiday displays for the resort. More details, including details about gingerbread displays at other resorts, will be shared later this year.

Disney stopped charging for parking at the hotels I believe in 2023. But the issue is you still can’t park at the hotels unless you have a resort or dining reservation for most resorts, so the springs was the main option to park for free with access to the Disney transport network. I’m assuming eventually Disney will charge to park at the springs which will make it all a non problem.

Regardless if you support this or don’t, I think this puts Disney on the path to begin to find a way to monetize transportation, as an extra fee. There is going to be cost to enforce this, they have to recoup the expense someway.

@LiamFromOrlando Yeah I think you will end up seeing them going back to what they used to do in the 1970/80’s with your ticket “including” use of the transport. It’s a way for them to cut back on ridership. I rather doubt many people would pay outright for it.

You know, when I look at the expense and cost Disney has to deal with because of the MK Parking situation. I am shocked that Disney hasn't created a "platinum" parking lot or garage near the MK. You know people would pay big $$ to skip the Ferry/Monorail and walk right in.
