Spectacular eruption accompanied the X1.9 flare. Its shock wave set off a nearby filament and even triggered a behind the limb eruption. Dimming spread across the geoeffective zone. This region enters Earth-facing view next week and needs close monitoring.

Only 66 years from first flight to landing on the Moon in 1969. Here we are, 76 years later cannot yet return to the Moon. We should have been on Mars by now.

@fireflyspace Just a thought: Since the vehicle has drilling capabilities, maybe the next lander could incorporate a Sterling heat transfer system into the bit's shaft. That way, it could generate electricity to keep the systems warm during the lunar night....
