a small rant here: an aimless conversation: "What is your writing about?" through the dm's... uhm, did you even see my profile? "What inspired you?" My parents failure at parenting and my inner demons shouting through my soul? Small talk to sell me a service... ugh, gag me with a spoon. There is a reason I tried to turn off the DM system.

Shocking good or shocking bad? Three of my four books in the same series are about the same length. I would note I edited out a lot! I took out a lot of what wasn't really moving the story forward. And then I debated about chopping it down further and decided to let it go and see where it takes me.

So, saw this. It's been on my mind... the book I am selling it pretty long. I am getting hints that it is scaring off agents. Sigh... 139000 words. Is that a lot?

I hate that I am a "slow" reader... it'll take me a while to get through a book. Just started a Robert Harris book called "Archangel". I read it more than a decade ago and am giving it another round... seem to do that a lot. And I have the movie primed to watch after staring Danial Craig. I remember last time the book being so much better than the movie. I got it for historical fiction drama.
