When I here about a new math concept, I immediately ask myself "OK, when does this not work?" I think about how to break the concept, and that helps me understand and remember. You will often find me asking the professor "will this still work if...". Does anyone relate?
Some tips for professional-looking emails (AKA every email)
1. Don't put the entire content in the subject line, leaving the body blank.
2. Always have a greeting and a signature.
3. Be pleasant and human, not rude and lazy.
4. Use punctuation and full words (no text language).
9 times table trick: Hold out all ten of your fingers, then lower the number you're multiplying nine by. Example, 9x2=18 -> lower finger #2 to get 1 finger to the left and 8 to the right!
