This was a great and effective door for the Apostle Paul, yet it was surrounded by enemies and trials. This is exactly how things often work on the path to success. You might be standing right in a season of progress and promotion, a time when your star is meant to shine brightly for everyone to see, yet that very same season is filled with sudden turbulence. While some of these struggles are caused by the enemy, other challenges are permitted by God Himself to test your heart and see if you are truly ready for the next level. Because of this, you must learn to embrace the challenges that announce your new season. Certain promotions come with heavy criticism from naysayers. People you once considered friends might suddenly turn against you. Sometimes you just have to realize that this comes with the territory. After all, did you expect to rise without anyone taking issue with your favour? Do not blame God or give up on His promises when things get difficult. The very things fighting you right now might actually be signaling your next level. DISCERNMENT OF SEASONS AND TIMES: STUDYING PATTERNS V Daniel 7:25 (NKJV): “He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand, For a time and times and half a time.” The enemy can often sense when you are on the verge of a breakthrough or stepping into a new season of spiritual growth. Because of this discernment, he may stir up frustrating situations or distractions to discourage you and cause you to miss what God has prepared. For example, he will create chaos in the exact place where God wants to bring promotion, or cause trouble where God is bringing order. In these moments, you might get fired right when God is about to lift you up, or a sickness might seem to get worse right before you experience a miraculous healing. It is in these precise moments that your faith must be fortified. Instead of backing down, this is when you must stand firm, anchor yourself in God's promises, and refuse to let the enemy's distractions shake your confidence. If you let yourself be moved by the trouble around you, you might miss what God is doing. You must be discerning. You need to be able to see past the confusion and know that what is happening is actually just the devil’s attempt to interrupt your God-given season of growth and increase. When things get difficult, don't give up. Your breakthrough is right at the door. DISCERNMENT OF SEASONS AND TIMES: STUDYING PATTERNS IV 1 Samuel 7:16 (NKJV): “He went from year to year on a circuit to Bethel, Gilgal, and Mizpah, and judged Israel in all those places.” The prophetic dimension is circular, meaning, it moves in circles and cycles. When the scriptures describe the ministry of the Prophet Samuel, they reveal a specific pattern: he traveled, yearly, in circuit from Bethel to Gilgal to Mizpah. If a person in his day did not study this pattern, they would constantly miss out on prophetic oracles. For instance, if Samuel was currently at Bethel but already moving toward Gilgal, an undiscerning person might be waiting for him at Mizpah. If he was at Mizpah, such an individual might be at Gilgal. This is much more than an issue of physical location; it is a profound lesson in spiritual timing and alignment. This truth carries immense significance for today’s church, where many sincere believers find themselves in the wrong place because they fail to discern the current spiritual frequency. Misalignment happens when our actions are completely out of sync with the spiritual demand of the moment. For example, when the Holy Spirit is calling the church into a consecrated season of fasting and prayer, some people think it is a time to indulge, eat, and feast. When the atmosphere is ripe for deep worship and spiritual intimacy, others are completely distracted, choosing that exact moment to pursue things that add nothing to their spiritual growth. Just like the people of Israel had to know Samuel's schedule to receive his judgment and counsel, today's believers must actively study the patterns of the Spirit. Without this discernment, we will continue to miss God, wasting our energy operating in a human rhythm while the divine clock has already moved on. FURTHER STUDY: Luke 19:44, Ecclesiastes 3:1 PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word. It corrects my steps and sharpens my focus. I am spiritually awake, alive to Your timing and the moments in which You stir my spirit. You realign my daily rhythm with the rhythm of Your Holy Spirit.
