Heard about a shocker last night in a Furness league game. 20 across, player stood on mat with last bowl gets told by several team mates that he’s in. Carries his bowl. Loses the measure. Ouchie

When a big, well-supported & successful club like Lindal is having to reduce its number of teams, surely it’s now time to put 10 or even 8 man leagues firmly on the agenda. Too late for this year, but next year has to be considered!

Harrogate Amateur Bowling Association session this am getting all clubs Safeguarding Officers checks in place. Important roles to look after vulnerable adults, children and all involved in running the clubs in our district. All clubs there good to see.
