Thank you, U.S. Senator @ChrisVanHollen, for standing up for 1.5 million Marylanders –especially people with disabilities, older adults, and families – who would be harmed by the estimated > $1 trillion in proposed Medicaid and other healthcare cuts (1/3).
We're especially thankful the Senator emphasized the importance of Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS), critical services that allow individuals with disabilities to receive care in their own homes and communities, rather than in institutional settings (3/3).
In this week’s Senate debate on Budget Reconciliation, Senator Van Hollen highlighted how the bill threatens access to care for people with disabilities and many other Medicaid beneficiaries (2/3).
