Watch this Ketamine-Dissociated intubation in a hypoxemic trauma patient. It's a great example of how blood can "camouflage" the epiglottis, blending it in with surrounding airway structures, making it easy to bypass. Suction is key. It's all about identifying the epiglottis!

When bystanders witness cardiac arrest, they are LESS likely to initiate CPR vs UNwitnessed arrest! because during first 1-2 min, CA pts have agonal respirations & so laypeople assume pt still has pulse (Brinkoff, Resus 2018); we need to do more to educate the public #FOAMed

Here’s an #ECG of a man who was shocked for "V-Tach" 1. V-tach is almost always ≥120 bpm. This rate is too slow! 2. The QRS is >200 ms. V-tach is almost never this wide! When you see this ECG pattern think ↑K+ K+ was 7.8 ! #FOAMed
