It doesn’t burn, doesn’t rot, regulates humidity, sequesters CO2, and lasts centuries. In the 1930s they taxed hemp into oblivion right as DuPont rolled out nylon and plastics. Coincidence? Now it’s legal again. Why aren’t we building with this everywhere? Would YOU live in a hempcrete house? Would this solve the housing crisis + climate goals at the same time? @dlhobbins03 @EssexPR They haven’t stopped - so can hardly ‘start again’. I live in London and the spraying is bad. I’m currently on a visit home to the north east and they’re being hammered ten times worse than in the south. (But forecasting next Summer is sheer fantasy!)
