Restore Britain's candidate for Mayor of Greater Manchester, Marlon West, has today pledged to hold women's safety summits in every borough of Greater Manchester if elected on July 30th. The summits would bring together local women with their police force, giving them the opportunity to speak directly and honestly about women's safety in their area. No topic would be off-limits, including the presence of foreign gangs who are making women feel incredibly uncomfortable in their own town centres. The pledge builds on the findings of the Rape Gang Inquiry report which documented decades of institutional failure to listen to women and girls in Greater Manchester and across the country. @MarlonTag said: "I have spent years fighting for women and girls who were told their voices did not matter. As Mayor, I will make sure that never happens again. These summits will give women in every borough of Greater Manchester a direct voice on their own safety, and nothing will be off the table." @RupertLowe10 added: "Marlon has dedicated his life to fighting for women and girls who were failed by the institutions that should have protected them. These summits will make sure the women of Greater Manchester are finally heard."

Whatever the result after today, it's safe to say Restore have arrived on the political scene. The attacks and smears came thick and fast. The usual name-calling from the establishment. Yet seeing 1000's make the journey to canvass, ourselves included was historic and inspiring

The rape gang inquiry highlights what we already knew. That on our doorstep English girls were being abused and that the people in power not only covered it up, but were in some cases actively involved. Restore would make sure these people would face true justice. Title or not.

FOI Request by @SheffRestore has shown @SheffCouncil has spent nearly 2.5 million on translation services for people who refuse to learn our language but demand use of our public services. A @RestoreBritain government would stop this waste of your money. They would be deported

FOI Request by @SheffRestore has shown @SheffCouncil has spent over £1 million in the last 2 years fighting parents of SEND children. That is not money going to children. That is not money going to improve services. Where is the common sense?

The government change the rules for all the time. They change the retirement age, student loan terms, interest rates that put homeowners into negative equity. Why can't they change the rules so people who should never have been here have to leave? They just need the will.
