NXPC has dropped nearly 20% in just two days. Putting aside all the issues with the game itself for a moment, even considering everything that's been happening, this still feels like an excessive sell-off. Who exactly is selling this much NXPC? It's pretty obvious that a lot of players are quitting, judging by the huge number of level 200 characters being listed for sale. Level 200 characters are useful for building Union, so most high-level players have plenty of them. Now we're seeing those characters flood the market, and the character market is visibly collapsing as a result. But even if there are a large number of players quitting, this kind of relentless, one-sided decline is still pretty extreme. So again, who is selling this aggressively? Or maybe there simply aren't enough buy orders to absorb the selling pressure, so whenever someone sells, the price just free-falls because there's nothing underneath to support it. I don't know which is actually happening. Again, putting the quality and current state of the game aside for now, I think it's time for ordinary players like us to start paying closer attention to this decline, because NXPC's price action is clearly abnormal compared with everything else. That said, a lower NXPC price isn't necessarily bad for everyone. The cheaper NXPC gets, the cheaper it becomes to build and upgrade gear, and players can also buy equipment and characters being liquidated by people who are quitting at much lower prices. Posting this means I'll probably face a lot of backlash from certain people! You and I have both been overly obsessed with the Magic ATT (MATT) difference between Wands and Staffs. Because Staffs have a base weapon M.ATT that is 6 points higher than Wands, it creates this constant mental bias making us feel like Wands are always falling slightly behind. That obsession has kept us from looking at things objectively! Now, take a look at the two weapons in the image and check their M.ATT stats directly. With just a few lucky Flame rolls, that gap completely disappears and becomes irrelevant. When you look at the total picture, those 6 base M.ATT points don't matter as much as we think. Even if a Wand falls behind a Staff on identical MATT rolls, it can easily make up for it with higher Boss Damage or other crucial stats. Capitalizing on that 6 M.ATT deficit, Staffs are being sold at unreasonably higher prices compared to Wands! Instead of overpaying for that tiny gap, we could run a Wand and use the leftover savings for far more impactful upgrades like cubing, Star Force, or even buying something you genuinely enjoy. Is it really worth passing up an outfit or cosmetic you love just to dump all those extra funds into 6 negligible M.ATT points? There are some insanely good Wands on the market right now listed at 2 to 3 times cheaper than Staffs. You get what I'm saying, right? I hope this post gives you a broader perspective on both weapon types so you can make the smartest choice for your own progression! @MaplestoryU #maplestoryN

Do you know why NXPC prices have plummeted and why gear on the marketplace isn't selling—despite costing 70% less than it did a month ago? Many extremists keep harping on about cheating, but the real issue lies in the Hard Will boss update and its rewards. Why did the developers include Crystals when Neso alone would have sufficed? After all, converting Neso into Crystals already grants a bonus of 5–10%, depending on one's MVP level. It is precisely the Crystal rewards that have wrecked the game's equipment market, for the following reasons: - Players with 35–50m CP and 990 AF can clear Hard Will in a 6-person team and receive both Neso and Crystals. Consequently, they don't need to increase their CP further; instead, they use their earned Crystals to Star Force (SF) gear—such as accessories—to 17 stars and sell it. - Players with 100–180m CP can easily optimize for 3-, or 4-person runs. However, the total reward pool gets diluted rapidly as more lower-CP groups clear Hard Will; these groups also use Crystals to Star Force gear to 17–21 stars and sell it. - Players with 60–90m CP fall between the other two groups. They struggle to find enough people to clear Hard Will in smaller teams of 3–4 (since most players in the 100–180m CP range already run together), forcing them to run with 5–6 people—effectively putting them on par with the 35–50m CP group. All the above analysis explains why players in the 60–90m CP range feel disheartened and are mass-selling their gear; furthermore, when they use boss-dropped crystals to upgrade an item to 17–21 SF and then sell it, the item's value drops by 70% and the NXPC falls to 0.19.
