I stopped investing in pre-seed. Here's the uncomfortable reason why. Too many pre-seed founders are overly ambitious with zero focus. They want to go after massive markets before they've dominated a single niche. No product market fit. No clear beachhead. Just a big vision and a broad go to market that burns through cash and goes nowhere. The culprit is almost always the same: They tried to compete everywhere instead of winning somewhere. At the pre-seed, you dont have the budget or the resources to compete in large markets. You have to dominate smaller, niche markets. That's why its old saying but true: The riches are in the niches. Find yours first.
