Hey Brett Kavanaugh. Want to talk about affirmative action and student loans? Let’s examine how you got into Yale, shall we? During your Senate testimony, you said “I got into Yale Law School. That’s the No. 1 law school in the country. I had no connections there. I got there by busting my tail in college.” But, like much of your testimony, this wasn’t exactly true. 👇 You see, we found a copy of a 1928 Yale yearbook and it turns out your grandfather Everett Edward Kavanaugh also attended Yale as an undergraduate student. So that makes you a legacy student a liar. So to recap, you got into your grandfather’s alma mater, then went to the Law School. That matters — because admission to an undergraduate institution can more than double a student’s chance of getting into that institution’s graduate schools. In 2011, Yale said that up to 25 percent of its students could classified as legacy students. Turns out, getting into college, especially Ivy League schools, is traditionally as much a matter of who you know as it is what you know. AOC said it best, “If SCOTUS was serious about their ludicrous “colorblindness” claims, they would have abolished legacy admissions, aka affirmative action for the privileged.” But of course you wouldn’t do that. It would mean you’d might have never gotten to the Supreme Court. It would have impacted the 70% of Harvard legacy students who are white - and harmed Harvard’s ability to rely on them as patrons. So how about we also ban legacy admissions and see how people like you fare without the privilege, shall we?

Clarence Thomas. You just voted to gut affirmative action and student loan forgiveness. Let’s take a look how you got into Yale, shall we? During your 58-page concurring opinion, you wrote that the foundational policies of affirmative action "fly in the face of our colorblind Constitution and our Nation's equality ideal.” But Justice Thomas, we did a little digging and it turns out that Yale university followed an affirmative action policy at the time you attended its law school. There’s more. In 1991 a New York Times article about you reported that Yale University officials confirmed you were admitted to its law school "under an explicit affirmative action plan with the goal of having blacks and other minority members make up about 10 percent of the entering class." It appears clear from the testimony of Yale officials that your admission to the Yale School of Law was made at the time of affirmative action policies and was almost certainly influenced by it. We should also mention that you secretly accepted $150,000 in tuition payments from rightwing billionaire Harlan Crowe, but you just voted to strike down loan forgiveness for students who need it. There is something absolutely tragic about the fact that the benefits of affirmative action helped create a Justice Thomas who will now deny many young African American talented individuals the same opportunity. Justice Thomas, if you’re so against affirmative action, I suggest you resign from the Bench.

Here are the juicy details. 👇 The angry exchange came as the two lawmakers have been swiping at each other over their competing resolutions to impeach President Joe Biden. But tensions came to a head today after Boebert tried to force a vote on her own impeachment resolution within days—undercutting Greene, who had offered her own resolution, but not with the procedural advantages of forcing a vote. Here’s where it gets good! 👇 Greene apparently cursed out Boebert while the House was voting Wednesday afternoon, as the two spoke in a center aisle of the House floor; part of their interaction was captured on C-SPAN’s cameras. According to two sources that saw the exchange and a third familiar with the matter, the back and forth began when Boebert approached Greene—then seated in the chamber—and confronted her over “statements you made about me publicly.” All three of the sources said Greene called Boebert a "bitch." One of the sources said Greene called her "a little bitch." According to two of the sources, Greene then stood up and alleged that Boebert “copied my articles of impeachment,” to which the Colorado lawmaker fired back that she hadn’t even read Greene’s resolution. This is absolutely disgusting behavior. The two of them deserve each other as far as we’re concerned, but what an embarrassment. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert should be stripped of their committees and expelled just for wasting tax payer money on bullshit impeachment charges. SHAME ON THEM!
