@bdvd_25 @claudeai If Fable comes back as USA only, it makes sense for europeans to give Mistral money and feed Le gros Chaton instead of USA companies. An update would be good, are we funding a two teir service, or not; they've said nothing. The fact Opus feels like this now, is an aside.

Even with the verbose guardrails, the internet is a less secure place as a direct result of the ban, staying out of politics, on a technical front, it's a disaster from USG for America, it's allies and the general landscape of bugs with written AI code.

So, USG bans Fable, OSS devs find API Fusion, now OSS setups can perform better than Fable. So, Fable down, we cant/couldnt use it to secure our own code. But API Fusion is OSS, so the people the ban is trying to stop, has jumped ahead & users cant secure or defend tnx to USG.

@MaaSonder They hinted at 5.6 releasing with Opus 4.8, then walked it back, went aspriational on twitter for a couple days, and then went on with Codex improvements. They've been trying to make their new model comply for awhile now :)

@InfiniteReign88 @ClaudeDevs Opus on max effort --effort max & asking it to reach >=98% codecov on your code, ask it to use opus background agents. You can get value out of it, since you are stuck, get it to update your docs, add missing steps, the least your sub can do is help your main AI.
