Proprio nel finale, uno degli attaccanti è riuscito a prendere un leggero vantaggio, senza che gli altri riuscissero a chiudere il buco in tempo. PODIO IN GC PER ALEXANDRE BALMER AL TOUR OF AZERBAIJAN🇦🇿🥉 Un’altra ottima prestazione per il Team Solution Tech-NIPPO-Rali al Tour of Azerbaijan, con Alexandre Balmer che conquista il 3° posto in GC. Balmer ha gestito al meglio il vantaggio conquistato nella seconda frazione del breve giro a tappe e oggi, nella tappa regina, è riuscito a rimanere sempre con il gruppo dei migliori. Negli ultimi chilometri un corridore è andato in fuga e il gruppo inseguitore, nel quale era presente anche Balmer, non è riuscito a chiudere il gap. Nonostante ciò, il corridore elvetico è riuscito a non farsi sorprendere dai numerosi attacchi e tentativi di allungo, chiudendo con il gruppo inseguitore e conquistando così il terzo posto in GC. ALEXANDRE BALMER SFIORA LA VITTORIA NELLA SECONDA FRAZIONE DEL TOUR OF AZERBAIJAN🇦🇿🥈 Alexandre Balmer è grande protagonista nella seconda tappa del Tour of Azerbaijan, chiusa al 2° posto sul traguardo di İsmayıllı. La frazione, resa dura da alta velocità e ventagli, si accende fin dai primi chilometri. Dopo essere rimasto attardato, Balmer rientra con un importante inseguimento nel gruppo di testa. A circa 40 km dall’arrivo attacca da solo, restando in fuga fino agli ultimi 8 km, quando viene ripreso. Nel finale i due battistrada si giocano la vittoria allo sprint, con Balmer battuto di misura dopo una lunga azione. Ottima prova anche per Santiago Umba, quarto al traguardo. ALEXANDRE BALMER NEARLY TAKES VICTORY IN THE SECOND STAGE OF THE TOUR OF AZERBAIJAN🇦🇿🥈 Alexandre Balmer was one of the main protagonists in the second stage of the Tour of Azerbaijan, finishing 2nd in İsmayıllı. The stage, made hard by high speeds and crosswinds, came alive from the opening kilometers. After being on the 2nd group, Balmer made a strong effort to bridge back to the front. Around 40 km from the finish, he launched a solo attack, staying clear until he was caught with 8 km to go. In the finale, the two leaders contested the sprint, with Balmer narrowly beaten after a long breakaway effort. POZZOVIVO CONQUISTA IL 2° POSTO IN CLASSIFICA GENERALE E RAJOVIC SFORA IL SUCCESSO DI TAPPA AL TOUR OF HELLAS 🥈🇬🇷 Si chiude con il 2° posto di tappa di Dusan Rajovic e il 2° posto in classifica generale di Domenico Pozzovivo il Tour of Hellas del Team Solution Tech–NIPPO–Rali. Nell’ultima tappa Rajović si è gestito bene grazie al lavoro della squadra, conservando energie per il finale. Nelle ultime battute un corridore è andato via e il gruppo non è riuscito a rientrare: Rajović ha comunque vinto la volata del gruppo chiudendo 2° di tappa. Fantastica prestazione anche per Domenico Pozzovivo, sempre protagonista nelle due tappe di salita decisive, riuscendo a restare con i migliori e conquistando un eccellente 2° posto finale in classifica generale. Buona prova anche per Matteo Fabbro, che conclude la corsa al 7° posto della generale.

 POZZOVIVO TAKES 2ND OVERALL AND RAJOVIC NEARLY WINS A STAGE AT THE TOUR OF HELLAS 🥈🇬🇷 The Tour of Hellas concludes for Team Solution Tech–NIPPO–Rali with Dusan Rajovic finishing 2nd on the final stage and Domenico Pozzovivo taking 2nd place in the overall classification. In the final stage, Rajović managed his effort well thanks to the team’s work, saving energy for the finale. In the closing kilometers, a rider managed to break away and the bunch was unable to bring him back. Rajović still won the sprint of the group, finishing 2nd on the stage. A fantastic performance as well from Domenico Pozzovivo, who was consistently among the protagonists in the two key climbing stages, staying with the best riders and securing an excellent 2nd place in the final general classification.
