🚨 I recently made a shocking discovery: most network clients are not properly supporting coroutines, and even though they support suspending functions, they waste resources by blocking threads under the hood 🕵️Especially Retrofit, which, under the hood, blocks a thread for each active request call. That can be an extreme waste of resources❗️ The only library I found that implements it well is Ktor Client, but only for some of its engines (CIO, Java, Apache) 👀 I am working on an article now, so stay in touch 📝 We are still working with @com_media_tech on showing the difference in a real-life application, but I can already say with confidence that choosing an appropriate network client is important for application performance.

@AnaStanescu22 Ant group in Beijing: At that time I barely could talk Chinese, they were aware of it, that was ok. And yet... They sent an engineer incapable of speaking English. So after he realized I couldn't speak Chinese, he just said "Anzhuo, shuo !" Which means "Android, speak !" 😅

@riggaroo Most of the properties on Zoopla and rightmove are outdated. I had to hire an estate agent to find a place to rent, that was the only way to get something that wasn't online yet...
