The best place to improve your mental game is on the practice field. If you train hard with a positive attitude, you’ll strengthen your mind for games!
Mentally tough athletes don’t depend on everything being perfect in order to play well. They take control of their performance and adapt to their environment.
Culture is the force behind a team’s success and failure. If you build a strong team culture, winning will come as a result!
The foundation of self-confidence is self-worth. Once you know your true worth as a human being, you’ll be more confident as an athlete.
As teammates, don’t worry about whose fault it is for losing. Instead of pointing fingers, lift each other up and take collective ownership so you can succeed as a team!
The most important key to success is effort. Great effort can overcome a lack of talent, but great talent can’t overcome a lack of effort.
As a young athlete, focus more on long-term development than short-term winning. If you take the time to master the fundamentals of your technique, fitness, and mental game, you’ll eventually surpass your competition and reach your full potential!
You play your best when you have fun. The more you enjoy the moment, the easier it is to enter the zone!
Evaluate your performance in games not just by your stats, but also by your effort, attitude, teamwork, and leadership.

When you see other people succeed, you can either be jealous and try to tear them down, or you can be inspired and try to lift yourself up.
Ten things mentally tough athletes don’t do in games: 1. Make excuses 2. Complain 3. Give up 4. Get distracted 5. Lose their temper 6. Panic 7. Dwell on mistakes 8. Get complacent 9. Stay in their comfort zone 10. Play selfishly
It’s possible to excel in sports and school, and also have a good social life. You just need to be very disciplined and have great time management skills.
The harder you make practices, the easier games become.
All it takes is one strong leader to improve the culture of a team. You can be this leader if you want to be!
The best athletes aren’t happy because they’re successful. They’re successful because they’re happy! Their positive attitude helps them work harder, persevere longer, and perform better.
As an athlete, your career isn’t defined by one bad play or game. No matter what mistakes you’ve made in the past, you will almost always have more opportunities to redeem yourself in the future!
You don’t become mentally tough by simply reading books or watching inspirational videos. You have to apply what you learn and push yourself through difficult situations in order to truly build mental toughness.
