A Union Pacific railcar carrying roughly 60,000 pounds, or 30 tons, of ammonium nitrate left the Dyno Nobel facility in Cheyenne, Wyoming, bound for Saltdale, California. When it arrived, the ammonium nitrate was gone. After further investigation, the explanation became that it supposedly leaked out through a hopper gate during the 800 mile journey. Maybe that is exactly what happened. But 30 tons is a hell of a lot of material to simply disappear. And when the railroad industry has already faced serious questions about transparency and safety, just look at East Palestine, Ohio, people are going to ask questions. So here is the question: Did 30 tons of ammonium nitrate really leak out along the tracks, or did someone find a way to make a very serious problem disappear? We may never know. But “trust us, it leaked” is not exactly enough to erase the questions.

39 years in Congress. Nancy Pelosi walked in (1987) with a family already worth ~$3 million. She leaves looking at $250–280 million. That is not a congressional salary. That is not “just inflation.” That is not what happens to most families who pick stocks for a living. Paul Pelosi trades. She writes the rules, sits in classified briefings, and for years blocked bills to stop members from trading individual stocks — then backed a ban on the way out the door. Is it criminal? No one has proven that. Is it what “public service” is supposed to look like? Hell no. Term limits. Ban the trades. Stop pretending this is normal.
