On June 19, 1865, Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas with the news that the more than 250,000 enslaved Black people in the state were free by executive decree. Our friends from Pursuit Lending completed another makeover! This time they re-painted the front porch of Hubbard House, a group home in our Residential Program. Not only did they repaint, they also planted an array of colorful flowers in the front yard, and donated a new patio set for the children to enjoy.
