A Tornado Watch is issued for parts of Eastern North Carolina until 5 PM Sunday. Most of the active weather has remained out to the west of I-95 to central NC. No active waning's here in ENC, but heavy rain from a cold front arrives this afternoon. #NCwx

The cool and chilly start to the day will lead to a not as warm, but a perfect fall afternoon in the making, with highs in the 70s. Breezes will slowly relax later in the day, with lows in the 50 and a few upper 40s. We are calm and warm through Friday.

Another home game at ECU means things will get rowdy at Dowdy today, as the Pirates take on the Eagles at 4 PM. Temperatures will be feel just like fall, with plenty of clear skies, but we are breezy, thanks to the north winds rolling across ENC. We go from the 70s to the 60s.

NC 12, in the OBX, is closed from the Basnight Bridge to Rodanthe, due to weather. The storm pushed ocean water during high tide through the protective sand dunes, damaging pavement near Pea Island. NCDOT crews are currently accessing damage. There is no estimate on reopening.
