I did sympathise with Parsons because I suspect he knew nothing of the spying. But the more I read the more it feels #saintsfc misplayed their response at every stage.

Honestly think sacking Spors, Tonda and his staff could end up being the worst part of all this. Took us so long to get to point were all parts of the football operation were all firing together. I am humiliated but not trying to tear it all down. #saintsfc

@AdamBlackmore Think that would have been a much better approach but don't think it would have changed anything. The Times reported very early that a sporting sanction 'such as' explosion + points was 'likely', think the EFL made up their mind about that course fairly quickly.

FWIW can't treat Tonda as blameless and pile on Sports Republic. Eckert is responsible for matchday preparation. It would be really odd if people higher in #saintsfc were directing backroom to spy. Do you think the DoF, CE or chairman would even have a scooby what it was worth?
