I follow my outlines but saying that is a misrepresentation of how manageable my stories are because my "outlines" are 5,000 words or more of dialogue exchanges that I go back and add scene headers to once I'm done. Bullet points and I aren't on speaking terms
Fanfic writers...do yall actually like follow your outlines exactly or do you find the fic just like completely swerving and sometimes hitting the outline notes
