We both tried our best, but it just didn't work out. I ended up issuing the woman a refund for her remaining sessions. It taught me a valuable lesson, leave the diet talk to dietitians.

Not all meniscus tears need surgery. We worked around her injury. She got significantly stronger, especially at RDLs. She even got to the point where she felt great and that she could avoid surgery. My mistake was thinking that I could help her with fitness AND nutrition.

Everyone makes mistakes—let's talk about a time when I made a big one. Early in my personal training career, I met a client with a complex situation. Pregnant, with knee pain and doctor-imposed weight goals, she needed a lot of help. I was confident I could make moves.

@AmandaMGoetz @hipstermeyer There isn't an actual accurate one. The gold standard is the four compartment model or 4C and it's still a guess. There also isn't a normative percentage for populations. Most importantly, it wouldn't matter what the number was if you didn't feel comfy.

Might buy myself a few presents for Christmas: 1. @DarnTough (Socks) - I love these and people compliment my socks now? 2. Xero Shoes - My feet have never felt better. 3. Sweats - Annie (my girlfriend) keeps getting on me for having holes in my clothes 🙄 Is this adulthood?

I have some pretty big goals for December. I'm turning 32 in January and will have been in business for 9 years come February. I want to add 15 more clients to the studio by March. The more our community grows, the more fun I see clients, trainers, and myself having.

I want to finish the @GirlsGoneSTRONG Pre- & Postnatal Coaching Certification. I started on it last year but put it down when I was taking Physics 1 and 2. I can never learn enough about women's health and strength training.
