Mama deer and two fawns near the state road. They have been showing up in front of a lot of the cameras.

Animal activity has picked up in the last couple weeks, including this black bear up near the state road.

Tropical Storm Nicole gave direct blow to the south-facing hollow. ALL fall color disappeared overnight, not much else. -Upstream #microhydro intake #trailcam was good news, more volume but not big rise -Older creek cam & downstream outlet shows several X volume, big rises

Deer triggered a photo with the sun directly on the camera. Note the sunbeam in the foreground before the deer’s head. Also, that purple stripe at the rear feet is an artifact.

Deer triggered a nicely lit fall foliage pic yesterday morning. Thanks deer!

Coyote lingered at the trail crossing for several pictures. This is the same spot that deer and other animals frequent. Looks like he is howling. The moon was full at this time.

Some close ups of the 4 bears that strolled down the ancient trade road last month -- a mama and two cubs in one shot, and a solo bear that followed two days later. All seem to be going down to the creek. Maybe the wilderness across the creek.

These two deer grabbed an early morning drink recently. ”how‘d you sleep?” ”1/2 hour with 1 eye open, just like every night.” ”I’m always hungry. And worried someone is going to eat me.” ”Not paranoia if they really are out to get you.” “WHAT’S THAT??” ”HUH?!? WHAT!?”

Some fall color from the state road camera. Looking from the northern property line facing south towards distant mountains. Deer facing south is there too.
