The Institute of Healthcare Management and the Centre for Climate Change and Health at Strathmore University Business School invite applications for a PhD Fellowship in Digital Dashboards in Diagnostic Innovations (DIDIDI). Impact goes beyond the classroom. From 17th to 21st July 2026, volunteers from our Community Outreach Programme (COP) travelled to Voi for a mentorship camp, engaging students at Kenyatta Boys High School and Murray Girls High School. Through mentorship sessions, conversations on personal growth, leadership, education, and life skills, our volunteers shared knowledge, experiences, and encouragement with students as they prepare for their future journeys. The week culminated in a service activity at Grace Mwatate Children's Home, where volunteers spent time cooking, cleaning, and playing with the children, demonstrating that meaningful change begins with presence, compassion, and service. This past weekend, the Community Service Department's MathRise Programme embarked on a two-day Mathematics Camp in Kitui, reaching students at St. Augustine Katheka Secondary School and St. Mathias M. Kwa Muema Secondary School. Before the camp, our dedicated volunteers underwent intensive training on the various mathematics topics they would be teaching, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed to make learning engaging and impactful. But this was more than just a camp it was the MathRise in action. Through collaborative learning, and practical problem-solving, students were encouraged to see mathematics not as a challenge to fear, but as an opportunity to grow, think critically, and unlock their potential. At Strathmore University, we believe that education has the power to transform lives, and through initiatives like Mathrise, we continue to bridge learning gaps while inspiring the next generation of problem-solvers and innovators. #BecauseWeCare #BeMore
