The only check on Israel will be US troops on Kharg Island. Kharg Island is the lynchpin of this conflict. Iran does not want it destroyed. A "Trumpian deal" requires something of value. This is 'existential' for Israel but not Iran nor the US. The generals that take over from the theocracy will be wealthy beyond comprehension.

Thought experiment: Dubai is at risk of losing population. The value of real estate would plummet. Banks that lent against these buildings will have bank runs and may fail. Banks start calling in loans from everyone. Everyone sells everything. Vicious spiral credit is.
