In two weeks Aashutosh Ganesh will present his work ("Does spatio-temporal information benefit the video summarization task") in collaboration with Mirela Popa, Daan Odijk and Nava Tintarev at AEQUITAS Workshop on Fairness and Bias in AI, co-located with ECAI 2024.

Next week, Dina Zilbershtein will present her work Bridging the Transparency Gap: Exploring Multi-Stakeholder Preferences for Targeted Advertisement Explanations, with Francesco Barile, Daan Odijk and Nava Tintarev at IntRS’24@RecSys.

Our @TAIMLab is finally complete and we had our first PhDs kickoff meeting on 28th Sept. at RTL. We are ready to embark on the fascinating trip of developing video summaries, fair ad recommendations, personalization, automatic subtitling, while ensuring fairness and diversity!

When she is not reading, Daniella is often baking or cooking elaborate dinners from recipe books. She also recently discovered the soothing and satisfying power of knitting and crocheting.

Daniella settled in Maastricht 7 years ago to study the Ba Arts & Culture at UM, that introduced her to the field of Science and Technology Studies (STS). Having fallen in love with STS, she stayed in UM to do the MSc Cultures of Arts, Science, and Technology.

Is time to introduce one new member of our lab: Daniella Pauly Jensen, who joined us in mid-August, as TAIM PhD candidate based at UM's Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences (FASoS).

Aashutosh, besides his role in the #TAIMLab is especially keen on working on music composition!

We are happy to welcome our first two PhD students (Aashutosh Ganesh and Dina Zilbershtein) in the #TAIMLab. Aashutosh will work in video summarization, using AI and Computer Vision and Dina will research the perfect ad position using AI and Recommender Systems.
