Most CRM automation fails before the first API call.
Not because the tools are bad.
Because nobody defined the rules:
• who owns a new lead
• when follow-up is due
• what counts as qualified
• when to escalate
• where the source of truth lives
Automate the rule, not the chaos.
@mevsjack Good move starting with a simple CRM. Before adding automations, I’d map 3 things: lead source, next action/date, and last meaningful touch. If those stay clean, email tracking + follow-ups are much easier to automate later.
Good point. For WhatsApp-heavy teams, the key is not only connecting messages, but mapping chats to deals, owners, stages and follow-up robots. QR is fastest to start; WABA is better when templates and proactive messaging are needed. WASync covers both for Bitrix24: wasync.app
SMBs don’t need “more software”. They need fewer handoffs.
Start CRM automation with one question:
Where does work get lost after a human interaction?
Missed follow-up, duplicate entry, unclear owner, no reminder. Fix those first. AI can come after the workflow is clean.
@JohnOpernox This is the right framing. Before adding AI, I’d map 3 handoffs: lead capture → CRM ownership, reply/no-reply → next action, won/lost → onboarding/nurture. Most leaks show up there, and the fixes are usually simple automation + cleaner fields.
WhatsApp + Bitrix24 teams usually face one question:
QR connection or Official WhatsApp Business API?
QR is faster to start. Official API is stronger for teams, scale, and automations.

Building WASync for this.
We just shipped one-click WhatsApp inside Bitrix24. And I want to be honest about why it took us so long.
If you've ever tried to connect WhatsApp's official Business API yourself, you know the gauntlet:
Create a Meta app
Set up a WABA
Fight through Business Manager (the worst UX on the planet)
Register a phone number
Pass Meta App Review
Configure webhooks
Pray your template doesn't get reclassified overnight
We didn't read about this. We lived it — we passed Meta's App Review ourselves, so you never have to.
That's the whole point of WASync:
→ Connect your WhatsApp Business API number in ONE click (Embedded Signup — no developer app, no webhooks, no praying)
→ Or skip the API and connect a normal number by QR in 30 seconds
→ Every message lands directly ON the lead or deal in Bitrix24 — not in some separate inbox
And the part I'm most proud of: when someone messages from a Click-to-WhatsApp ad, we write the ad, campaign and click straight onto the Bitrix24 lead. You finally know which ad generated the conversation. Most tools just drop the message and lose the source forever.
Plus: visual no-code chat flows, AI replies from your CRM data, anti-ban hardening for QR numbers.
€15/mo QR, €25/mo official API. 7-day trial, no card. On the Bitrix24 Marketplace, 5 languages.
If you run sales on Bitrix24 and WhatsApp, I'd genuinely love your feedback. Try it: wasync.app
@RevOpsDan This is painfully true. I’d add one step before deleting: map which automations/reports/API integrations still read each duplicate field. Otherwise the cleanup is correct in CRM but breaks downstream ops.
Most CRM chaos is not caused by a “bad CRM”.
It starts smaller:
A quote was sent.
A WhatsApp reply came in.
Someone promised to follow up Friday.
No task was created.
No deal stage changed.
No one owns the next step.
Automation should start there.
Before adding AI, dashboards, or complex workflows, make sure every customer conversation creates:
1. a clear status
2. a next action
3. an owner
4. a reminder
5. a visible history
That alone fixes more revenue leaks than most “digital transformation” projects.
@OneManLBO Cold calling gets easier once the “next action” is impossible to lose. Even a lightweight CRM setup helps: call outcome → next follow-up date → reminder/task → notes template. Don’t overbuild first; just make every lead have one clear next step.
Most SMBs don’t need a “bigger CRM” first.
They need 4 simple things working every day:
1. Every new lead lands in one place
2. Every WhatsApp/call/email is linked to the right contact
3. Every quote has a next follow-up date
4. Every stuck deal has one clear owner
Automation works best after the basics are visible.
@SamirShekharMin For this kind of business, I’d start with a tiny tracker: quote sent date, next follow-up date, last WhatsApp/call note, decision maker, and status. Then automate reminders before automating messages. The first win is visibility, not complexity.
Your customers love WhatsApp.
Your CRM never sees those chats — they live on someone's phone, and walk out the door the day that person leaves.
We built WASync to fix that: WhatsApp, right inside Bitrix24. 🧵
Every message lands on the right lead & deal, for your whole team:
• Connect by QR or the official WhatsApp Business API
• AI replies, written from your CRM data
• Templates, voice notes, WhatsApp groups
No app-switching. Nothing lost.
Your best customer conversations are trapped on WhatsApp — on someone's phone, invisible to your CRM.
WASync brings WhatsApp right inside Bitrix24. Every message on the right lead & deal, for your whole team.

Most CRM problems are not software problems. They are unclear handoffs, missing ownership, and manual follow-ups. Fix the process first, then automate it with CRM + AI agents where it actually reduces work.
