The Telangana State Finance Commission celebrated Independence Day with the Chairperson, Members, and office staff, honouring the spirit of freedom and reaffirming its commitment to public service and strengthening local governance.

The 2nd TGSFC Chairperson & team participated in the CESS Seminar on "A Situational Analysis of the Financial Status of PRIs in Telangana State in the Context of the 2nd SFC." The review by Dr. Jos Chathukulam offered valuable insights on strengthening the RLBs in the session
The @cgg_hyd led by its Director, @DeviPrasadJuvva presented its proposal on thematic studies for strengthening Local Bodies before the 2nd TGSFC . The Commission held constructive discussions on key priority areas for evidence-based focus studies and policy recommendations
Today 2nd TGSFC reviewed the progress of Consolidation Report with ASCI. Discussions focused on further strategic studies to strengthen Local Bodies through enhanced fiscal decentralisation, institutional capacity, and evidence-based governance reforms.
The 2nd TGSFC held a review meeting under the Chairmanship of @BapuRajaiah ,with Smt.P.Katyayani Devi,IAS,Member Secretary, &Members of the Commission reviewing the progress of the Commission's work & discussed roadmap for its future activities aimed at strengthening local bodies
The 2nd TGSFC delegation met the Hon’ble Governor of Telangana and discussed the roadmap for its forthcoming report. The Commission received valuable suggestions from the Hon’ble Governor and it reiterated its commitment to fostering sustainable and self-sustaining local bodies

The Hon’ble Governor of Telangana has extended the tenure of the 2nd TGSFC by 2 years(G.O Ms. No 59 dated 01/06/2026). The extended period will facilitate a detailed and in-depth assessment of local bodies & formulation of robust recommendations aimed at strengthening RLBs & ULBs
