Zeinab went into the street to protest. To demand freedom. For that, the authority charged her with “Moharebeh”, which means; enmity against God, means execution. If you ask me how you can help me and help Iranians save her life, to be honest, I don’t have an answer. 💔I don’t have power. All I have is my voice, and the ability to tell their stories. Because I was once a prisoner myself. And what I feared most was being forgotten, being left alone behind those walls, while the government erased my name and killed me in silence. That is why I keep telling their stories. So they cannot be erased. So they are not alone. I'm writing this for everyone in the free world who has ever joined a protest in your country: this is what they do to people like Zeinab Mousavi. They don't just arrest you. They put a death sentence on the act of showing up, in order to create fear and to prevent people from protesting against oppression. Zeinab Mousavi is in Vakilabad Prison in Madhhad right now, having seizures every night, being denied medical care, while her family waits in terror. A freed prisoner named Sepideh Qolian tried to tell her story to every major newspaper inside Iran. But every single one refused. Because Iran's system is built to make people disappear quietly, arrest them, break them, silence the witnesses, and wait for the world to move on. Execution is no one's right. Not Zeinab's. Not anyone's who ever stepped into a street and said: this is wrong.

This is another Iranian woman who is about to be executed soon. Every morning I write about someone Iran has just executed; within minutes, a message arrives from a mother, a sister, a friend, begging me to write about their loved one on death row. Before it's too late. That's
