@UKESRail I think you've put a competitive package together Neil. Yes, sparks can earn more subbying etc, but for someone looking for a solid, long term role, your company seems a very attractive proposition. If I lived 'darn sarf' I'd be all over it 👍

@electrician_247 Agree Mark, seems to be a DNO convenience thing, nearest point of entry. I'll never forget changing a db with only my left hand in a corner cupboard many years ago, first day with a certain company, supervisor and electrical tester stood in the kitchen the whole time watching me.

@dseselectric When you re-post, take a meter box key with you and remove their main fuse. If they come calling with no electric, your in the clear, if another sparky turns up, it's confirmed they think your a cunt. I tried a similar tactic one. Seemingly I'm a cunt.

I've got a separate business account but am struggling to know when and how much to pay myself 🙈

@electrician_247 Thanks Mark, I was planning not to register with ozev as the domestic scheme is finishing in April, but I'm getting enquiries in now specifying the grant, so looks like I'll have to do so.

@electrician_247 Hi Mark, how does the hypervolt ozev scheme work? Do they knock £350 off the £679 purchase fee and then they claim it back off govt, or is it more complicated. Thanks, Tom

@electrician_247 Love the idea, I'm sure that's the future in a more slimlined version. This version using 4 ways isnt going to allow retro fitting in existing CU's. Once manufacturers develop a one or two way version it will be a game changer. Also why 40A & 100A ? Where's the 32A ?

@EquinoxElec Nothing in BS7671 to cover split concentric. Some NIC or Napit assessors might get a bit funny about using it. It's more traditionally used by DNO's where BS7671 doesnt apply. Worth checking with them first 👍

@IWoosnam Well done Woosie, you looked in some pain out there towards end of the week but fair play for sticking it out.

@electrician_247 On my AM2 I was actively encouraged to put a coupler in my conduit and treat it as two separate 90 bends joined together. The penalty was 1 minor mark but the time and stress saved allowed me to ensure everything else was bob on. I passed anyway !
