@somelinguist I haven't tried but in JavaScript, can you just addEventListener to the document, without bringing a text input control?

@somelinguist It might be impossible natively, sorry about that. One workaround I can think of is placing a hidden webView, or leveraging ObjC, may not worth doing it as it's too complicated. What is your use case? I would like to understand if adding new apis can help.

@somelinguist It should be possible: docs.taio.app/#/editor/custo… the problem is that when page is loaded, you can only get the html, not the source (md), but it's still possible to change the behavior.

MarkEdit has been released to the Mac App Store: markedit.app it's a privacy-focused, native, fast & tiny Markdown editor. It's an OSS, the source code is available at: github.com/MarkEdit-app/M… We're also sharing what makes MarkEdit unique in this thread.

@Yaroslav_Ya @Taio No.. opening huge files like 10 MB would use up to 200 MB. For regular files it should be less than 100 MB.

@YangLM_ZQ It's in theory impossible to purchase a non-consumable item twice using the same account, the in-app purchase system made by Apple doesn't allow users to do that. Make sure you're using the same account, if you run into such a case, please reach out to Apple to get a refund.
