I can't relax and recover in bed when I have a sub covering for me. I'm always looking at the clock thinking, "9:20 - have they collected those permission slips for tomorrow? 10:15 - do they know our library time changed?" etc.

The best form of PD is to have someone watch your class and give you some feedback. Doesn't have to be an administrator. It's very hard to evaluate yourself because you're too busy in the moment.
Instead of admin doing walkthroughs, they could do "tag outs." They take over your class so that you can walkthrough another teacher's class. Admin learns about your class, how they learn, classroom behavior & relationships. Teachers learn new ideas for lessons & management.

Coming back from vacation I'm always 'grumble grumble I want to sleep in longer grrr' but when I'm actually in class, it's great. Mondays are my favorite day and the first Monday back after break is my super-favorite.

@Bored_Teachers When kids see me out and about on the weekend, on Monday they have to announce 'I saw you!' even though we said hello at that time.
I find that no style of teaching 'hurts' - if you scaffold with images, models, actions or whatever, it's good for both those who need it and those who don't.
The phrase, “I’m a visual learner” always makes me cringe.
@ModestTeacher Can't teachers and schools make that call? I've taught in many settings; smartphones are fantastic in some and a disaster in others. Governments will likely make a knee-jerk, one-sizes-fits-some decision.
